ITINERARY
DAY 01: ARRIVE - PHNOM PENH
Arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, meet & welcome and then transfer to check-in hotel. Accommodation and Overnight hotel in Phnom Penh.
 
DAY 02: PHNOM PENH
Breakfast at the hotel, this morning, we start to visit Phnom Penh City tour, visit the Royal Palace, situated on the site of the former citadel, it was built by king Norodom in 1966. Next stop will be Silver Pagoda, home to a glittering array of Buddhist statuary. Silver Pagoda is also called the Pagoda of the Emerald Buddha; then visit the National Museum, the world’s leading museum of Khmer sculpture. In the afternoon, visit to the harrowing genocide museum at Tuol Sleng and the Killing Fields of Choeng Ek, both enduring memorials to the gruesome and brutal rule of the Khmer Rouge. Enjoy sunset at Wat Phnom, symbol of the city. Accommodation at hotel, Phnom Penh.
 
DAY 03: PHNOM PENH - KAMPONG CHAM - KAMPONG THOM
This morning, drive by private vehicle to Kompong Cham to visit Wat Nokor, a contemporary pagoda housed within Angkorian temple. Phnom Bros, Phnom Srey. Continue to Kompong Thom, stopping on route to visit the Angkor-era temples of Prasat Guha Nokor. Accommodation at hotel.
 
DAY 04: KAMPONG THOM - SAMBOR PREI KUK - SIEM REAP
This morning, we visit the 6th-century Chenla capital of Sambor Prei Kuk, the most important pre-Angkorian site in Cambodia and the first major temple city in South-East Asia. Drive to Siem Reap after lunch in town. Arrival at Siem Reap late afternoon and we transfer to hotel. If time permitte, city sightseeing, Acommodation and overnight at hotel, Siem Reap.
 
DAY 05: SIEM REAP (ANGKOR COMPLEX)
This morning, we visit the earliest temples of the Angkor period at Roluos Group about 10km from Siem Reap lays the complex of Roluos Group includes Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei for a useful chronological perspective on Angkor’s development. Later, we return to town for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit the sites of Angkor Thom. This Royal city was first built under the reign of Udayadityavarman II in the 11th Century. Continue to visit Victory Gate, the Bayon, this temple mountain, built by Jayavarman VII, Next stop is Baphuon, Phimean Akas, Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of Leper King. Overnight.
 
DAY 06:SIEM REAP (ANGKOR COMPLEX)
Breakfast. Today, we visit Sras Srang, the royal pool is situated opposite the East gate of Banteay Kdei. It is known as the King's bathing pond. Next stop is Banteay Kdei, this temple was constructed by Jayavarman VII during the 12th and 13th Centuries. Continue to Takeo and jungle-clad Ta Prohm. This temple was a monastery built by Jayavarman VII as a residence for his mother. In the afternoon, we visit, magnificent Angkor Wat to view its architecture and bas reliefs. This temple is the largest religious buildings ever constructed and is truly one of the wonders of the world. Enjoy sunset from the top of Phnom Bakheng hill. Accommodation & Overnight at hotel.
 
DAY 07: SIEM REAP (BANTEAY SREY & KBAL SPEAN)
Breakfast. We begin today the north with visiting the elegant temple of Banteay Srei built by a Brahman in the 10th century; this temple was dedicated to Shiva. The famous pink sandstone structure bears a series of beautiful sculptures, lintels, pediments and friezes. These it is said must have been carved by women as the detail is too fine for the hands of a man. And other well-preserved Banteay Samre temple, we take a picnic lunch in the countryside before walking through the lush jungle to visit the riverbed carvings and scenic waterfall at Kbal Spean and the river of Thousand Linga.. . Return to hotel. Accommodation & overnight at hotel, Siem Reap.
 
DAY 08: SIEM REAP - DEPARTURE
Breakfast, In the morning, we travel to Phnom Krom for a cruise on the Tonle Sap Lake, visiting floating villages. On the way back to Siem Reap, we call in at Les Artisans d’Angkor, a workshop to redevelop traditional Cambodian artisan skills. Guide/car will be disposal until transfer to airport.
